The town is filled with history as evident with their museums, historical trails, and the famous York-Durham Heritage Railway. The town also gives a lot of attention to nature and activity through their various hiking trails, farmer’s markets, accessible parks, and sporting facilities. While the town is mainly English-speaking, with the increasing development, more visible minorities are joining. In the 2011 Census, the most common non-English mother tongue language was Cantonese, followed by Italian, and Tamil. 

Whitchurch-Stouffville is a small town, but it is multicultural and full of charm. It is not a big, busy city, but it is not a tiny deserted town either.
